Inn Policies and Safety Suggestions

Is it contrary to good marketing practice to lead with a caution? In light of the novel coronavirus/COVID-19 situation, we are publishing our “sick day” and wellness support policy. If anyone in our household or if any of our employees are ill or have knowingly been exposed, they will not come to work or have any contact with guests. 

We care about our guests as well as our families, friends, employees, and neighbors. Travel for work or pleasure, children’s camps, weddings or special events is usually planned well in advance. With the current health crisis, it’s a dilemma for many people. Most of the OTAs (online travel agencies) are offering cancellations with full refunds and no penalties IF you are traveling from one of the official danger zones. We want to be more comprehensive and offer more options. The novel coronavirus is not the only contagious disease that endangers us all. No matter where you are from or why you are sick, you should stay home and recover. 

If anyone in your household is ill, you may reschedule your visit with no charge.
If anyone in your household is ill, you may cancel up to two weeks before arrival with no charge.
If anyone in your household is ill within that two-week window, talk to us. We’ll work it out.
If anyone in your household is ill with anything follow the advice from official sources, such as:

“In order to keep you and your loved ones safe from coronavirus, it is important to take commonsense precautions. One of the simplest and most effective ways to protect yourself and others is by washing your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds. In addition, avoid sharing household items such as cups or silverware, and avoid direct contact with people who are sick. If you or a family member are ill, stay home, contact your physician right away, and follow their instructions. Check-In 4:00 to 9:00 PM, unless otherwise arranged.
Check-Out 11:00 AM, but guests are welcome to spend time exploring around Coppertoppe after checking out.
Minimum Stay Required Two nights on weekends and holidays May through October unless otherwise arranged.
Credit Cards: AmEx, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa. Checks are accepted at least two weeks in advance.

Deposits A deposit of 25% is required in order to hold your reservation. Written or E-mail confirmation will be sent to you upon receipt of the deposit. Please check the dates carefully to avoid a change of date fee.

Cancellation A 14-day notice of cancellation is required for a refund of the deposit, less a $35.00 processing fee. For cancellations with fewer than 14 days notice, the deposit will be forfeit. Late cancellations (within 72 hours of scheduled arrival) or no-shows will be charged the full amount of the reservation.

Rooms and Suites are double-occupancy. Please note a $35.00 fee per additional youth/adult. Children under 12 stay free.

Pets We welcome well-behaved pets with a $15 pet per animal, per night fee (no fee for service animals). Dogs of all breeds are welcome. We trust guests are good pet parents whose animal companions are trained and up-to-date with shots and flea/tick treatments. However, we will charge for damages if needed. Alcoholic Beverages We do not have a liquor license, but guests are welcome to bring their own. We provide refrigeration, complimentary ice, soft drinks, water, juices, hot drinks, and snacks.

Smoking is not permitted. For the health and comfort of all, Coppertoppe is a smoke-free property. There is an automatic cleaning fee of $125 if you smoke in a room or scent is transferred from your clothing. Tobacco is toxic to birds and animals. Butts on the grounds will trigger a landscape cleaning fee. 

Safety And Security Coppertoppe is in the mountains and lakes region. Guests should take care to bring appropriate clothing and accessories, such as sunscreen, insect repellent, and allergy medications if needed. Guests who wish to arrive or return after 9:00 PM should make arrangements with the hosts. The average emergency response time in Hebron is six minutes. Speare Memorial Hospital is fifteen minutes away in Plymouth, NH. If you have a medical condition or special need, please inform us in advance so we can be prepared for you.

Environmental Protection Coppertoppe staff follows local recycling and water protection guidelines. We are also considerate of our neighbors and local wildlife. Please consult with us about any materials you bring to the area that may need special disposal. Our amenities and cleaning supplies are environmentally friendly and we garden without persistent pesticides. We are proud that Newfound Lake is one of the ten cleanest lakes in the world and the community works hard to keep it that way. Please note that any boats to be launched on Newfound Lake may be inspected for invasive weeds by the Newfound Lake Region Association (NLRA). Coppertoppe participates in the NH Sustainable Lodging Program, NH Businesses for Social Responsibility and NLRA as well as professional and business associations.
